A fast and budget-friendly comfort dish that layers crunchy corn chips, hearty chili, and gooey melted cheese. Perfect for feeding a hungry family with just a few simple ingredients.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 9.25 oz bag Fritos corn chips
  • 2 15 oz cans chili (with or without beans)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions optional
  • 1/2 cup sour cream optional topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Pour half of the Fritos into a 9x13-inch baking dish and spread them evenly across the bottom.
  • Open the chili cans and pour both cans of chili over the Fritos.
  • Use a spoon to spread the chili into an even layer over the chips.
  • Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the chili layer.
  • Add the remaining Fritos on top of the cheese.
  • Pour the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the top layer of Fritos.
  • Place the dish in the oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
  • Carefully remove the dish from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes.
  • Top with chopped green onions and sour cream if desired.
  • Serve warm and enjoy.
