- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 medium yellow onion diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 3 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 cans condensed cream of mushroom soup 10.5 ounces each
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt divided
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 tablespoon butter for the baking dish
Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
Cook the ground beef and onion for 8 to 10 minutes.
Stir in garlic, 1 teaspoon salt, pepper, paprika, and parsley.
Drain excess grease, then set the beef mixture aside.
Whisk the soup, milk, sour cream, and remaining salt in a bowl.
Spread a little sauce across the dish bottom.
Layer potatoes, then beef, sauce, and a little cheese.
