- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts about 2 pounds total
- 1/2 cup prepared basil pesto store-bought or homemade
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon crushed dried red chili pepper adjust to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- Optional: 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish large enough to hold them in a single layer.
In a small bowl, combine the pesto, olive oil, minced garlic, crushed dried red chili pepper, salt, and black pepper.
