This easy tater tot casserole is the perfect comfort food with crispy, golden tots, a creamy beef filling, and plenty of melty cheese. A simple, budget-friendly meal the whole family will love!

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 bag 32 oz frozen tater tots
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease.
Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
Spread the beef mixture evenly into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the cheese.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the tater tots are golden brown.
For extra crispiness, broil for an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.
